Venice, the most beautiful city in the world.
But Venice is more than just a city; it's a living museum built upon the water, with every palace telling a story.
This is the start of my long-term project to illustrate the magnificent canal-fronted palazzos that have defined Venice for centuries, one building at a time. This first collection of ink and watercolor illustrations focuses on a particularly captivating section of the Grand Canal, documenting the beauty of the North Bank between the Sina Centurion Palace Hotel (pink building on left) to the Casa Artom (white building on the right).
As well as the historic grandeur found on the opposite South Bank on the between the Ca’ Grande (tall white building towards the left) along to the elegant Gritti Palace Hotel (pink building on the far right)
