Fishing for shimmering mackerel - and then painting them
Sadly we haven't had any fishing opportunities for a while now, but a few summers ago, we had a small catch just off the coast of Gurnard, Isle of Wight. I'm counting down the days until we can head out to sea again, but in the meantime I've been trialing my new Coliro ocean shimmer palette. Paper collage robin with blossom
Have been experimenting with some paper collage techniques. This little fellow was created from an old edition of Country Living magazine with a little post digital magic. It's been so nice to welcome in the Spring this weekend, after the longest hardest winter. What’s the best bit of spring? Lambs, bulbs flowering, green grass, birds singing? For me it has to be the lighter evenings, sunshine and significantly less mud underfoot !
